Wild Pants Raises Nearly $90,000
The Arc transformed its annual fundraiser adding a 2020 twist. Supporters stepped out in their sassiest slacks for the WILD Pants fundraiser bringing in $89,000. Traditionally, The Arc recruited men from the community to model colorful pants in an effort to raise money to support programs for people with disabilities. This year, participants of all ages and genders were asked to make, decorate, or buy tricked-out trousers to battle for the championship title.
The Arc is entering 2021 with optimism and bold plans for the future. The year 2020 was difficult for The Arc, our team members, the amazing children, families, and clients that we are privileged to serve, and our community. Yet Team Arc led with innovation and determination, creating opportunities for our agency not only to continue to provide stellar services, but also to position ourselves for future growth and success.
The Arc Receives Grant for Community Inclusion Program
The Arc of Palm Beach County aims to build acceptance. That includes ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, has access to out-of-school time (OST) programs in Palm Beach County. Thanks to a continued grant from Prime Time Palm Beach County, youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities will have improved access to quality afterschool and summer programs.
The Arc's President Recognized as Community Giant
Kimberly McCarten consistently leads The Arc of Palm Beach County to new heights as its president and CEO. So tremendous are the nonprofit’s achievements that the Inner City Youth Golfers organization has named McCarten a Community Giant, recognizing her contributions to the future and to the stability of children in the community.

Exhibitions of color, theatrics, emotion, and generosity marked The Arc of Palm Beach County’s Off the Wall Gala. Vibrantly dressed guests attended the sold-out party on Saturday, March 7 at the Norton Museum of Art.
The Arc of Palm Beach County is being nationally recognized for its Stand Up program. Out of a pool of 600 local chapters, Palm Beach County received the Program Innovation Award at The Arc’s 2019 National Convention in Washington, D.C. On Saturday, December 14, students that are involved in the mentor program got their first look at the trophy.

Riviera Beach, Fla. – The Arc of Palm Beach County is taking a well-deserved bow after being named Nonprofit of the Year. Nonprofits First crowned The Arc at the Hats Off Nonprofit Awards on October 1. The high-energy, hat-themed event highlights the work organizations, staff, and volunteers are doing to make a difference in the community.
