The Arc of Palm Beach County unveiled its reimagined north campus in Riviera Beach at a ribbon-cutting and open house event on Wednesday, May 25. The 15,000-square-foot Achievement Center, formerly the headquarters of Seagull Services, was transformed into a dynamic, specialized educational and career development hub for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Three dynamic, award-winning organizations – The Arc, Palm Beach Habilitation Center, and Seagull Services – have joined forces to create The “New” Arc of Palm Beach County. Together, our teams have the vision, passion, expertise, and resources to elevate the disability community and build a brighter future of choices, opportunities, and independence.

The Arc of Palm Beach County is joining forces with Seagull Services and Palm Beach Habilitation Center to create the most comprehensive range of services for people with disabilities in South Florida. The new Arc of Palm Beach County will support nearly 3,500 individuals from birth through their life span.

In the first half of 2021, Team Arc continued to do what they do best – provide stellar services for our children and adults, while safeguarding their health and well-being. Potentials’ students closed out a successful year of hybrid in-person and distance learning, the Early Intervention programs assisted more infants than ever before, the Adult Services’ team coordinated testing, vaccinations, and safe community engagement, and our mentors connected with their peers in creative ways.

pdf Golfers Chip In to Help People with Disabilities at The Arc

The winner’s circle at The Arc Invitational is less about skill and more about heart. Every swing at the annual tournament helps to improve the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families. Golfers teed off at The Arc’s 2021 tournament on Monday, April 12 at The Dye Preserve Golf Club in Jupiter.

Supporters of The Arc of Palm Beach County got an extraordinary view of the Palm Beach International Boat Show. On Sunday, March 28, the nonprofit hosted brunch on the 9,000-square-foot Mansion Yacht.

pdf The Arc Names New Board Chair for 2021

The Arc of Palm Beach County has named Kurt Gehring as its new board chair. Gehring, the founder, president, and CEO of the Gehring Group, will lead the Board of Trustees for the next two years.

pdf Wild Pants Raises Nearly $90,000

The Arc transformed its annual fundraiser adding a 2020 twist. Supporters stepped out in their sassiest slacks for the WILD Pants fundraiser bringing in $89,000. Traditionally, The Arc recruited men from the community to model colorful pants in an effort to raise money to support programs for people with disabilities. This year, participants of all ages and genders were asked to make, decorate, or buy tricked-out trousers to battle for the championship title.

The Arc is entering 2021 with optimism and bold plans for the future. The year 2020 was difficult for The Arc, our team members, the amazing children, families, and clients that we are privileged to serve, and our community. Yet Team Arc led with innovation and determination, creating opportunities for our agency not only to continue to provide stellar services, but also to position ourselves for future growth and success.
