Job-A-Palooza is a fast-paced job training event that gives candidates the opportunity to learn about possible careers and meet potential employers. The Arc of Palm Beach County is hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 at the Palm Beach Gardens campus of Palm Beach State College: 3160 PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Original works of art are springing up just in time for Mother’s Day. Artisans at The Arc of Palm Beach County have designed a colorful bouquet of handmade gifts for mom. The nonprofit, which serves children and adults with developmental disabilities, will host a pop-up shop called Bloom at The Gardens Mall. Bloom will be open Wednesday, May 2 through Sunday, May 13, in the Grand Court on the mall’s lower level.
JOB-A-PALOOZA! Calling Local Businesses
The Arc of Palm Beach County wants to partner with local businesses and organizations to help build bright futures for young people with disabilities. Job-A-Palooza is a fast-paced job training event that gives candidates the opportunity to learn about possible careers, and employers the chance to explore an untapped pool of applicants.
“Bloom:” This Mother’s Day pop up will have photos and live art by the artisans of the Arc of Palm Beach County, retailer pop-up stations, pamper stations, gift guides and “mom’s night out” events.
A love for the game, a little friendly competition, and a genuine desire to help people with developmental disabilities, drove golfers to hit the links for The Arc Invitational. More than 60 golfers had the privilege of taking part in the tournament on Friday, April 20 at The Dye Preserve in Jupiter, Florida.
When the barn doors swung open for Cowboy Ball, guests poured in decked out in their finest boots and ball gowns. The diamond-themed gala celebrated The Arc of Palm Beach County’s 60th anniversary.
PINBALL WIZARDRY: Art and Pinball Come Together for a Cause
No tokens needed for this night of pinball, photography, nostalgia, and lots of fun. On Thursday, March 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Arc of Palm Beach County is taking over the Silverball Museum in Delray Beach, located at 19 NE 3rd Avenue. Fans of the vintage arcade game are invited to take part in the youthful excitement of this event.
Nature trails, boating, wildlife. You can enjoy them all at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, regardless of your physical challenges. The Arc of Palm Beach County is hosting an event at the Hobe Sound state park to prove that disabilities don’t have to be a barrier to exploring the great outdoors.
