Riviera Beach, Fla. (October 18, 2023) – The Arc of Palm Beach County is delighted to announce the appointment of award-winning, nonprofit financial expert John Peters, CPA, as its new chief financial officer. Peters joins The Arc of Palm Beach County with an incredible reputation as a nonprofit executive. He has more than 30 years of experience in financial leadership, strategic business management, and fiscal responsibility.
“We are thrilled to have John as the new CFO of The Arc. He is a person who can embody our mission of improving the lives of the people we serve, their families, and our community,” said Pamela Payne, CEO of The Arc of Palm Beach County. “John will be instrumental in our plans to increase the services we offer, and to improve lives and experiences for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.”
Prior to joining The Arc, Peters served in multiple CFO leadership roles in Palm Beach and Broward counties. Most recently, he was self-employed as a CPA and founded GoKnock, an active 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit. From 2007 to 2015, Peters served as the CFO at Palm Health Foundation, Inc. in West Palm Beach. During his nine-year tenure at the $100 million nonprofit, public health care foundation, Peters was named Nonprofit CFO of the Year by the South Florida Business Journal. He also served as CFO for the NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale.
