The Arc of Palm Beach County has announced its spring schedule of events and programs, along with an inaugural event, The Arc of Palm Beach County Polo Day, and the return of its popular Art d’Arc mosaic sales at ArtiGras.

The Arc is actively seeking sponsorships for and planning The Cowboy Ball, scheduled for Friday, March 18, 2016, at The Mar-a-Lago Club, Palm Beach. Other upcoming events include:

Holiday Suite at The Gardens Mall:

The Arc clients and volunteers will be assisting shoppers this holiday season by offering gift-wrapping services. Papyrus, a well-known brand that offers exceptional paper, stationery and greeting cards, will offer upgraded wrapping choices with proceeds to benefit The Arc of Palm Beach County. The service is a component of the adult employment program. The Holiday Suite will also feature a preview of The Arc’s Interactive Experience at the Dr. Seuss Art Collection, scheduled for January and February at The Gardens Mall.

When: The Arc days are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday – Sunday, November 27 – December 24, 2015

The Arc of Palm Beach County Polo Day:

This event will be the first time that friends and supporters of The Arc will enjoy an exciting polo match at the International Polo Club. The day will feature a lavish brunch and silent auction, along with the thrill of a 3 p.m. polo match. Tickets are $135.

The Arc’s Interactive Experience at the Dr. Seuss Art Collection:

As the only participating social services agency, The Arc will join a host of art and cultural organizations to celebrate the whimsical drawings and legacy of Dr. Seuss. A special collection of the author’s works will be on display throughout The Gardens Mall, and to add to the experience, local nonprofits will showcase their work and art, alongside the exhibit. The Arc invites everyone to visit its one-of-a-kind, interactive “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” experience, where guests can decorate cupcakes, have their photos taken, help create a Dr. Seuss-themed mosaic with clients from The Arc and become an artisan for the day.

Art d’Arc at ArtiGras:

Through The Arc’s adult employment program, clients create beautiful and unique, handcrafted mosaics. Each mosaic represents the time and effort of an adult with developmental disabilities who is learning critical skills to be a productive employee. The mosaics, which are representative of South Florida colors and wildlife, will be on sale at ArtiGras, ranging in price from $20-$250. This is the third year at ArtiGras that The Arc’s artisans have sold and demonstrated how to create their art pieces, which make lovely gifts and home accents. Customers can also commission customized mosaics.

When: Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Monday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Feb. 13-15, 2016

Honda Classic Cares Birdies for Children:

The Arc of Palm Beach County is participating in the Birdies for Children fundraiser, in which the organization receives 100 percent of total donations made in its name plus a 10 percent matching contribution, courtesy of The Honda Classic. A donation of $20 or more to The Arc on the Birdies for Children website, and guessing the total number of birdies that will be made by the entire field in the four rounds of the 2016 Honda, enters donors to win a new Honda vehicle.

The Cowboy Ball:

This lavish “boots and ball gowns” evening features a luxury silent auction, a gourmet meal in a gilded ballroom, an exciting live auction, exhilarating casino action and mesmerizing entertainment. Co-chaired by Emily Pantelides and Peter Robbins, the Cowboy Ball promises to be a magical night for guests. Sponsorship opportunities are available at all levels; tickets are $500 each.

The Arc Angels Luncheon:

The Arc will recognize the devotion and support of its staff, community leaders and volunteers during a special afternoon event. Tickets are $85 per person; $600 for a table of eight, plus program book recognition.

The Arc works with children and adults with all levels of developmental disabilities, from mild autism to severe cognitive and physical restrictions.
