Careers at The Arc

Stand Up is a teen initiated leadership program that provides young adults with a safe environment to develop leadership skills through peer-to-peer mentoring, advocacy and inclusion. The goal is to improve student's quality of life through a variety of educational workshops, public speaking opportunities and most importantly, connection. Members earn volunteer hours and build their college and career resume providing peer-to-peer mentoring to children and teens with Arc of Palm Beach County. The Arc of Palm Beach County hosts a variety of fun camp activities throughout the summer for children and teens with developmental disabilities. Stand Up Mentors choose between three mentorship opportunities to be matched with great students who are looking to have fun, be accepted and want to learn.  

Minimum qualifications for this full time exempt position include:
Licensed Clinicians with a Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in counseling, social work, psychology, special education, or Master’s prepared intern registered with the appropriate State of Florida licensing board under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician. Requirements include 2 years’ experience working with adolescents/teens, and family systems. Must have experience in program design and implementation for age and gender specific populations. Experience working  with persons with disabilities preferred.
