We all look forward to spending our free time engaged in enjoyable social activities. The Arc's Recreation Department offers a wide variety of leisure time activities for children, teens and adults with special needs. All of the programs offer age-appropriate activities and instruction, which include drama, music, arts and crafts, cooking and swimming lessons, health and wellness activities, sports, community inclusion outings and other engaging activities.
Pre-registration is required prior to program placement.

What our program offers:

DAY CAMPS, AGES 5-17

Day camp programs are offered during winter spring and summer school breaks. Day camps provide great social and emotional opportunities with a wide variety of engaging activities, community inclusion outings, learning activities, sports and instructional classes in swimming, music, drumming and health and wellness.

INCLUSION DAY CAMP, AGES 5-12

Inclusion day camp options are available during winter, spring and summer school breaks. Applicants must qualify for municipality registration guidelines and can meet the municipality ratio of 1:10 and up. Youth participate in an inclusive camp and are engaged in all activities and outings.

TEEN SUMMER DAY CAMP, Ages 14 - 22

A summer day camp program providing great social and emotional opportunities for teens ages 14 through high-school who have aged out of inclusion day camps. The teen day camp provides learning activities and instructional classes in drama, music, cooking, health and wellness along arts and community inclusion outings.

ADULT EVENING PROGRAM

TGIF is a leisure social program for adults ages 18 and older who can join us on scheduled Friday evenings and some Saturdays. This adult program offers a wide variety of themed social activities, dances and community inclusion outings. Adults must have the ability to safely and actively participate with a 1:15 ratio during all activities and community outings.

LEISURE DAY PROGRAM

This program is for adults aged 18 and older who are no longer enrolled in high school. The day program offers a wide variety of fun, themed social activities, life skills and community inclusion outings. Activities include cooking, learning activities, crafts, community awareness and health
and wellness. Adults must be able to safely and actively participate with a 1:10 ratio during all activities and community outings.
