arc family fun day

Not sure where to go for help if you have a child with developmental disabilities?

The Arc of Palm Beach County’s Family Support Services program provides direct support and referral services for families with children of any age with developmental disabilities. It serves as the gateway into our agency, helping to acquaint new families with everything that The Arc of Palm Beach County has to offer.

Who benefits from our program: Any family in our community with questions or specific needs should contact our Family Support Services.

What our program offers: We provide a brief screening so that we can connect you to programs that best meet your needs. If there are services that The Arc doesn’t provide, we assist families in navigating our community’s many resources and connect them to the proper agencies.

Workshops and events: Our Family Support Services staff conduct workshops and trainings throughout the year, and respite care is offered for all our workshops.

We hold nine “Sibshops” a year. These are opportunities for siblings to make new friends and talk with others who “get it” about the good and sometimes not so good parts of having a sibling with special needs.

In addition, our Next Chapter Book Clubs are an opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities to make new friends and share their love for reading. Book clubs are held in Wellington and Jupiter.

The Arc of Palm Beach County also hosts Family Fun Day: Open House and Resource Fair.
