The guests of The Cowboy Ball, benefiting The Arc of Palm Beach County, were treated to one memorable experience after another at The Mar-a-Lago Club, Palm Beach, on March 18, 2016.

Chaired by Emily Pantelides and Peter Robbins, The Cowboy Ball welcomed more than 300 guests, wearing their fabulous cowboy black-tie attire, including jeans and jackets, boots and ball gowns. The evening was marked with a number of surprising and elegant highlights, which combined to give guests a magical experience, filled with fabulous food, high-roller fun and energetic dancing.

A truly special moment was the presentation of the inaugural Courim Award, the highest tribute given by The Arc, to Palm Beach resident Danielle Hickox Moore. Moore has demonstrated exemplary commitment to promoting excellence in her personal life and throughout the community.

JM Events awed guests with a decor that was “cowboy chic,” a perfect blend of country wedding meets vintage farmhouse in gorgeous blue hues, rich woods, lace and leather. More than 1,000 feet of lights draped the ballroom, which was adorned with extravagant chandeliers. The richness of the reclaimed wood tables, crystals, mirrors and candles imparted intimate warmth.

The Cowboy Ball committee assembled a silent and live auction array that inspired competitive bidding. One of the most coveted items was Carmen Marc Valvo’s live auction trip to New York for Fashion Week with VIP seats to his show and a private, champagne meet and greet. The international designer added a dress especially for The Cowboy Ball winner and another lucky guest because he was so moved by The Arc’s mission.

As the evening continued, the audience was thrilled to dance to “YMCA,” performed by the Original Cowboy himself, Randy Jones of The Village People. The dance floor was rarely left empty, thanks to the musical talents of The Sultans of Swing.

Guests were reminded of why their support matters so much when two of The Arc families spoke with tremendous heartfelt gratitude for the organization’s services. They specifically shared how The Arc has transformed theirs and their children's lives. “It was a beautiful and moving tribute,” said Pantelides.

The Cowboy Ball was presented by The GEO Group Foundation and supported by International Chairman Hermé de Wyman Miro, Honorary Chairman Donald Trump, Jr., Vice Chairmen Carol and Jay Dewing and Vice Chairman Max Tucci. Additional gala sponsors included B&W Quality Growers, Inc., Mrs. Mary Courim, The Frankino Foundation, The Gardens Mall, Pratt & Whitney, ADT Security Systems, BBC International/Bobby Campbell, Berman Law Group, First Republic Bank, Florida Crystals, Florida Power & Light, The International Society of Palm Beach, Pantelides PR & Consulting and WPEC CBS 12.
