Riviera Beach, Fla. (October 10, 2023) – The Arc of Palm Beach County is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Gill as chief advancement officer. Gill brings nearly a decade of nonprofit leadership experience and will oversee The Arc’s resource development, grants, major gifts, communication, and the execution of major fundraising events.

“Charlotte holds exceptional leadership experience in the nonprofit field and will be a phenomenal asset to The Arc’s fundraising efforts,” said Pamela Payne, The Arc’s CEO. “We welcome her with open arms and are excited to see her talents reflected in our events.”

Gill joins The Arc of Palm Beach County from Community Partners of South Florida, where she served as the director of advancement since 2021. Previously, she worked as director of development and marketing for Nonprofits First. Before relocating to Palm Beach County in 2016, Gill worked for the Urban Conservancy, managing Greater New Orleans’ independent business alliance, StayLocal.

Gill also worked as a special education teacher for teachNOLA in New Orleans from 2008 to 2011. With her teaching experience, The Arc of Palm Beach County holds a special place in Gill’s heart. “As a former special education teacher, I feel like I’m returning to my roots,” said Gill. “I am humbled to serve the clients and families of The Arc of Palm Beach County, and I look forward to working with the team to build a community where every person feels welcomed, connected, and accepted.”

Heavily involved in community service, Gill serves as a committee member for the Hats Off Nonprofit Awards and is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County. She is also a member of the Palm Beach County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
